Time to do some writing now that recess week is here, and pray for the next term that we'd be safe and sound (:
It has really been quite a while, so many things have happened. The term passes by really fast when the notion of counting days blurs into simply a progression of time, of which one really can no longer tell the line between night and day. Too many moments consisting of that sudden realization that only a few hours are left to whatever deadline, before panic kicks in. Truly, the slogan "I don't know what time or day it is, but I can tell you how many hours it is till crit" on our batch's t-shirt has that deeper meaning suddenly. Since when have I changed my perception of time, by ceasing the counting of days and instead counting the hours and seconds passing by? This reminds me of that language and perception topic I used to learn in ELL, when we studied native tribes which couldn't understand the notion of days, because they do not have it in their language. Hence "give this to me in four days time" probably amounts to nothing to them.
Which is interesting, now that I can sort of understand that. We are so used to sleeping at a certain timing, and waking up, fresh for a "new day". And to suddenly break into a continuous sleepless cycle... you won't really feel that "new day" anymore. It simply turns into an extremely prolonged day, hence the notion of progression of time.
That aside, just some things to keep track of:
1. Amazingly, truly the best crit ever so far (and probably the last too)
2. Also, all those hardwork paid off. Like seriously.
3. 100% plywood joints. No metal hinges, no nails, no bolts and nuts no anything. Just loads of sanding and sawdusts.
4. Accordion design language throughout, right down to the joints. Plus, it's so extremely stable.
5. Ventus site construction visit! TimeArc up...soon.
6. SNDC and Buaya week, truly worthwhile.
7. GLC concert choreography in the process, summertime at beach~
8. Oh and, stolen phone. Not even a year's contract too, how's that for a change
I suppose that's about so much now, and can't help but spamming design-related stuff for the first four. Ha but oh well, I'm really proud of our structure. Truly hope that they will exhibit it for ArchiFest too!
Other than that, I think it may be time for me to change my tumblr skin. :D And of course, upload the 4 batches of photos I've accumulated so far.
Let's go (:
